June Weddings

Since it is the season for weddings, I thought I would post a gift from my mom for our anniversary (which was February). She had a local artist sketch this from a photo. I hung it up in our bedroom and love it!

Speaking of weddings, we went to one last night and it was a garden reception. We had so much fun and it was so pretty; however, it was hotter than a whore on dollar night!! And that is pretty darn hot. This pregnant lady drank water after water after water and only peed once. That was a miracle!

Party Favors Anyone???

We had two party favors:

Party favor #1:koozies! Everyone loved them especially Bill (my dad). He wanted to know where I got them. Thanks to Amanda for the picture! They turned out great:

In case you were wondering: one side had, Jen and Fred...Got Hooked, the other side has our initials and the date, February 23, 2008

Party favor #2: was POPCORN: BIG HIT!!!

Bridesmaid Brunch

So thanks to my Aunt Joy and Susan (mom's bff), they threw me a yummy bridesmaid brunch. Full of grits and yummy biscuits and all kinds of goodies. However, I have never been so nervous. My stomach was not good. I even thought I might puke before I walked down the aisle. But thank goodness I did not!

Here was a picture before I walked down the aisle.

Logan and me before I thought I might puke:
The other pics can be found on my cousin's website! I forgot to take pics at the bridesmaid luncheon! :(

Let's Do It Again

Let's Do It Again.....???

ME and My Hubby (Rehearsal Dinner at West Lake):

Okay, so here is my quick rendition of the rehearsal dinner. Freddie sister gave a hilarious speech. Did you know that when he was little she put makeup on him including blue eyeshadow and lipstick and did his hair? He was her babydoll. Also his brother sent a video from Iraq! Wow, it was great. My cousin even shed a tear, who imagined?? And my mom's bestest friend Susan gave a speech on all the top 1975 songs (year I was born). One was Born to Be A Country Boy (my hubbie) and another was Let's Do It Again! HA!!! Along with many others songs she told us about. We had a great time. But don't ask my sister or Freddie's sister how they felt on Saturday. They had way too much fun or maybe they were overserved? Let's just say that I had to sleep on a bed with no sheets....ummm, a little pukie in the beddie. Thanks Amanda. I still love you! Warning: Lots of Pics!

Me, Layton (bil) and nephew drinking (just kidding.....he is pretending to be one of the many drunks!)

Wedding Weekend, Part I

Oh What A Night...

This is probably post one out of like a hundred. I am going to start with rehearsal night. I could start with the night before (Thursday) and tell you all about my husband (that is weird to say....). But I don't think he wants me to tell everyone about how he had too much to drink and his friends dropped him by to show me how drunk he was. Let's just say we need a new kitchen table thanks to his drunken falling. Oh well it was a p.o.s. anyway!

Friday was a good day. Amanda, Bridesmaidzilla (as a certain boss of hers was calling her), and myself had massages. Oh it was nice. But it went by TOO quick. Then off for a shower and to get my hair done by Miss Leigh Leigh. It looked great. Everyone complimented me on it, except for maybe one person who called me Mary Ingles Wilder. But hey, that was funny, too. Thanks Leigh Leigh for making me look good!

This Time Next Week....

This time next week I will be married. WHOA! :)

And I have so much to do this week and have to work! YUCK! And I did have bronchitis last week and felt awful, thought that was never going to end but at least I took Friday off and my sis and I will be getting massages. Oh can't wait!

Will be sure to blog all kinds of good stuff coming up VERY VERY SOON!

Drinking Out of Penis Straws is Always Fun!

Here are the wanted pics. First all I will say my sister went to a lot of trouble getting all the "penis" paraphernalia. And then the crazy woman we thought was going to show us the Passion Toys calls and says her grandmother had a stroke. So, first I will say I hope not. Second, I say lame excuse...she must have had plans with all of her "toys" or something. But, let's just say I will host one before my honeymoon this summer (now all these people know someone who does them). All are welcome to attend! So I will just have two penis parties. Sorry ladies for the diappointment! What a bummer. But hey, we still had margaritas. Who doesn't like margaritas??? Thanks to all who showed up! :)

And well hats off to my friend Audrey. She brought me some bondage tape, some gummy handcuffs, a game called "F*ck" (yes that is how it is written on the outside of this board game), some body lick stuff, oh and well a few other items in her "goody bag" for me. And I got some cute lingerie and some thongs (thanks Leigh-Leigh).

And if you are wondering what those things on my boobies are, they are tassels my sister bought me. Fun fun. Except my boobs are way too big for those things! :)

The Reply Card is Missing!

This is what people keep telling me. My wedding is a bit unusual. We sent out wedding invitations (family only) and then everyone else is invited to the reception. At the bottom of the reception invitation it stated: A Favour of a Reply is Requested. And everyone keeps telling me there was no reply card. Well, NO DUH!

So I thought I would post what to do when you received my wedding reception invitation:

According to the Crane Website:

Formal Responses

Although most wedding invitations are sent with reply cards, many are sent with a reply request engraved on the reception card instead. These invitations require a handwritten response. Formal responses are handwritten on ecru or white letter sheets. These sheets were traditionally blank but may now have a tasteful monogram blind embossed on the top.
Responses follow the format of the invitations. Since wedding invitations are issued in the third person, responses are written in the third person as well. The guests' full social names and titles are used while only the hosts' titles and surnames are written. On the envelopes, however, the hosts' full names are used with their titles. Acceptances repeat the date and time while regrets repeat just the date. There is no need to mention the reason for not attending.

Acceptance:

Mr. and Mrs. Edward Allen Singer
accept with pleasure
the kind invitation of
Mr. and Mrs. Forrester
for Saturday, the twenty-third of August
at six o'clock

Regret:

Mr. and Mrs. Edward Allen Singer
regret that they are unable to accept
the kind invitation of
Mr. and Mrs. Forrester
for Saturday, the twenty-third of August

In what color ink should responses be written?

Formal responses may be written in blue or black ink. Most people, however, prefer black ink since it usually matches the invitations.

When should responses be sent?
Most invitations mention the date before which responses are needed. Your response should be mailed so that it arrives before its deadline. If no date is mentioned, responses should be sent three days after the invitation is received.

How is the response written when children are invited?

The names used in your response should be the same as those written on the inside envelope you received. If your children are invited, their names will be listed on the face of the inside envelope, beneath yours. When writing your response, repeat the names as they are written on the inside envelope.

According to Emily Post:
You write a formal reply or note stated your intention.

According to About.com:
Once upon a time, people didn’t need response cards. When they received a written invitation, they would RSVP on their own stationery, offering congratulations and whether or not they would be able to attend.

So if you didn't know the "formal" thing to do, now ya do! :)
And take no offense all you who did not know what to do. Just wanted to let you know what Emily Post or how the old Southern ladies would do it!
And you can email me or call me too. (I ain't Emily Post!)

And all you bloggers who want to come, email me and we will see what we can do! :) For a good price...I just might consider it!

Your Ornaments are Showing!

My Christmas Wedding Shower

(My mom and Freddie's mom)

(All the ladies who threw the shower and me)

(My wonderful assistant at school and me)

(Me and my mom)

Yep, my ornaments were showing apparently. At least that is what my sister told me yesterday at my Christmas Shower my mom's friends threw me (when I was opening my presents). Apparently the dress my mother told me to wear might have been a little "boobie"!

Here are some pictures. I got some great ornaments and Christmas goodies and have already decorated with them, thanks to my little sis. Several people asked me what I wanted and I said, "Girlie" ornaments. Oh well, Freddie has to have a girlie tree with some pink ornaments on it! :)

His or Hers?

His and Hers Shower

So last night we had a shower in our honor. A His and Hers Shower given by some of Freddie's mom's friends. Well there was only one couple, Freddie's sisters friend, who went by the rules and brought something for His and the Hers. (Although I don't think that was really the rule.......)

Check out this remote. The BIGGEST remote I have ever seen (for HIS of course):

And then for the hers: an apron. It says DOMESTIC DIVA. (My family would probably say, Diva, not too domestic.....but I do cook, just not all that cleaning stuff!)

We did have a good time. My aunt, uncle, and cousin and his wife came into town for the event. And we all got some good low country boil and banana's foster. They had a station set up with a man cooking some banana's foster. YUM YUM.

Friday's Fifteen For Freddie

  • Here is a list of Fifteen Fabulous Things About Freddie on this Friday:
    1.
He is coming home soon. He has been in Michigan for the past 5 or 6 weeks training the hounds, but he is still going to miss my birthday. Poor me :( But he did surprise me last year and was supposed to be out of town.....and didn't tell me he was driving back to Augusta.
    2. Since he trains labs, he has got to like dogs, right? And so he loves my little pain-in-the hiney pooch. Although he keeps telling me to go pick up our puppy.....a lab that will "make us money".....I hope he is kidding. Although I know that he is not kidding...........
    3. He claims that he has been "dating" me since December 23, 2005. He was so random I wasn't quite sure ...but if he says that is the date, then so be it!
    4. We went from being "night time lovers" to being in love. Someone asked us if we were dating and I wasn't sure what to say so I jokingly said, oh, we're just night time lovers.........then out of the blue we were in love!
    5. He likes to cook (AKA grill). Makes my dinner regimen much easier. I just have to provide the "sides"!!
    6. He will be able to help me plan the wedding soon. He has agreed to help pick out all of the items on our wedding registry. Does he really know what he is getting himself into?
    7. I was the first girl (according to my cousin's wife) to be asked to go on a skiing trip with him/them. So, we got to go skiing in Salt Lake City, Utah last New Year's Eve. Tip for all future snowmobilers in Utah: don't eat the yellow snow!!!
    8. He meets my sister's standards. If you know my sister, you would completely understand......And she had a "date" with an older man the other night!!!! I knew she would find a sugar daddy!!
    9. We met at the Williams Family Christmas Party. AND, no we are not related. He is just friends with my cousins. But my sister likes to tell people that, guess she wants them to ask if he and I are related. That sounds redneck doesn't it???
    10. He is going to stay at home and take care of the kids when I have babies. Just kidding. He says that but he would not be so lucky. Not that I don't trust him but that he would get to take naps when the kids were taking naps. No way am I letting that happen.
    11. He brings me breakfast on Saturday mornings (sometimes) when he has to go "air" dogs and I get to stay in bed. But even better, he likes the Waffle House as much as I do for "brunch"!
    12. We get to eat my favorite, MEXICAN, at least once a week. And we also get to eat at the Bonefish at least once every two or three weeks...but I am sad because I haven't been there since he left town and we got engaged.
    13. He knows my middle name. We had been dating for like a year and he did NOT know my middle name. WHAT? I knew his middle name. He better know it now....if you see him, ask him what my middle name is.
    14. He never has an excuse to forget my birthday. His birthday is August 9 (08/09). My birthday is September 8 (09/08)....just switch the numbers....how easy is that to remember???
    15. HE is going to marry me on February 23rd!!!!

(Thanks to Leslie for the great idea!!)

SAVE THE DATE

The good news is here. For all you party animals, our wedding (Freddie and me, of course) is set for February 23, 2008 in Augusta, Georgia. Oh, and here is a picture of my wedding dress: JUST KIDDING. Someone would show it to Freddie and it has to be a surprise!!!!!!
