EDVENTURE!!!!

Grandma BB and Mom and babies went on a road trip to Edventure in Columbia, SC on Monday. It is a Children's Museum. The babies had a pretty good time. Afterwards, we ate at the YUMMMY Fuddruckers and then headed home!
Someone would rather play with buttons than drive! :)

ELMO Comes to Town

Thanks to Uncle Layton who got us some great seats, we went to Elmo's Superheroes the other night. I thought Trace might be scared since when "HO HO HO" came to town he only wanted to wave to him! BUT Trace loved it. He even high-fived one of the characters when they came into the audience. Bert maybe? I can't remember! :)

Mommy and Trace before the big show!
Trace what does Elmo do? He rides BIG truck...he saw the trailer when we picked up the tickets! :)

Evie Rose is 18 Months!!! :)

I can't believe that  Evie Rose has turned 18 months (well she did May 10) so technically we almost have a 19month old but we didn't go to the doctor until yesterday.

She is 31 lbs of love! :) (in the 90 percentile). She is 34 inches tall (97 percentile). And in the 94 percentile for her head! :) So she is well above most kids her age.

She did a great job when they pricked her finger for blood. But WHOOOOWEEEE! She does not like have immunization shots.

Right now she is trying to repeat everything her brother says. This morning she said BIG BIKE at the mo-ped (motorcyle thing) at Costco. She says daddy and finally is saying MOM after lots of practice. She loves TV (a little too much) and likes Duck (Mickey Mouse Clubhouse) and Elmo. She also loves her paci's and can be found with lots of them, even if they are brothers!

She eats pretty much anything we give her. She even tried some Cracker Barrel sawmill gravy this weekend and loved some biscuits with jelly. She finally started eating ice cream after getting over the cold factor. She eats veggies, fruits, and meat. Both her and her brother tried fish sticks last week. And both liked them-they probably like the ketchup!

She is really growing too fast! :(

What is this thing on my finger?
I say "CHEESE" when Mommy takes a picture.

My cutie pie! :)

ROAD TRIP

This Friday and Saturday it was mommy and Trace's first road trip. Just the two of us. We thought about going to Ireland...haha...But decided to go to Charlotte to see a great teacher friend and her son. Well we had a blast. We went to the park, played hard with "new" toys (new to Trace), went out to eat, went to Gymboree for a class, and to Discovery Kids Place. We definitely will have to do it again. It is so good to see how someone else handles a two year old. I will say Trace had a bit of a problem taking a nap on Friday but other than that he was pretty much well behaved. Her son is quite the talker and one time Trace ran into the road and he gave him a lecture instead of me! :) (Well me too...but it was soooo cute!)

Daddy likes this picture!

Working on cars.
Getting ready for summer.
Being the bubble hog! (His latest obsession)
His other love: a ball!!!!

Evie or Boo?

So if Evie had dark hair, I think that she would look like Boo from Monsters, Inc. It had been a long time since I had seen the movie and originally I was thinking Evie looked like a little cute Alien with her pigtails sticking straight up! But she does look like Boo! Maybe a good costume for next year for Halloween?? She is such a cutie and yes, I am a little biased, but that's okay! :)

Funny Things My Babies Say & Do

I figured I was going to start a post where I put funny things the babies say and do and then add to it! :)

Trace [after Christmas] says to like an 80-something year old lady at Publix, who was wearing a white fur coat, as she passes by in her grocery cart..."Ho Ho Ho"! She just smiles and waves!

The babies love Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. After watching Mickey's Great Clubhouse Hunt tonight...Trace (in his room) stands on his twin bed and looks out the window and yells "Oh, Peeeete!" Oh he is so funny. They do this in the video. He also looked like the boy from Home Alone with his hands on his face. [March 31,2012]

When a certain little fellow goes stinky, he says, "Momma I went yuck"!!! And then saying "Issie go yuck!" Daddy yuck, Momma yuck. Um...Buddy, you and sissy go yuck but momma and daddy don't yuck in their pants! :)

In March I was dancing to Mickey Mouse Clubhouse Song and he says, "No Momma!!!" Oh I know I don't have rhythm, son!

April 3rd (Master's Week) I take the kids to the park. Trace goes all the way up the stairs to the "big slide" and slides down. Evie follows him and then acts like she is going to jump like "Super Woman" so momma has to run and get her quick and yell no no no like a crazy person. Trace is standing beside me and yells "No issie, no issie". But who knew I had a daredevil???

April 7....NOT FUNNY Evie Rose "fractured her elbow" and had to have a cast for 5 days. Ended up maybe just a sprain! But she learned quick to use that thing to her advantage to get brother out of the way!! :)

April 12. Me: Did you have a good day at school? Trace: YAAAAHHH! Me: Did you go to time out? Trace: YAAAAAHHH! Me: Why? What did you do? Trace: EEEEaat! Me: What? Trace: Miiiilk! Me: Did you throw your milk? Trace: YAAAAHHH! Who knows what the little booger did or even if he went to time out. Although we have had some timeout issues lately with him at MDO. Apparently one day he went to time out for taking off his shoes?!

I guess because every time I leave the house I have my purse. The kids take random items...their easter basket, a bucket, my own purse and put on their arms and say BYE BYE!!! and head for the door. And at the grocery store Evie tries to put my purse on her arm and then proceeds to tell everyone she sees "BYE BYE!!!!!!" So cute!
