Tomorrow is going to be my little boo boo's SECOND birthday. Where did the time go?? I can't believe he is already two years old!

He is such a ham. He loves to see what outfit he is wearing and check himself out in the mirror. We go to the doctor next week so I can't wait to see how much he weighs and how tall he is. He is usually in the 90-95 % for his height and always in the 50% for his weight. He is a bit skinny and a picky eater (does not get that from his mommy!). He also loves shoes, his, daddy's, mine, and even tries to put his sister's shoes on his feet.
He is starting to talk a lot! He is saying: It falls-for everything he throws or that actually falls! He is singing: Ho Ho Ho Who Wouldn't Know and Jingle Bells and Row Row Row (Your Boat). He is saying: Momma, Dada, Mimi, BiBi, Sissy, Moon, Cheese, Boat, Night Night, YUCK (bc momma says that when she changes a stinky diaper), Keys, and some other words. I am just excited that he is finally talking. He still signs "please" and "more" and "love" and refuses to try to say those things.
He loves to take a bath and has learned to blow bubbles. It is so funny. He loves to play Peek-A-Boo with mommy's glasses and we are having trouble with him listening....he is constantly into something-his favorite is escaping from the kitchen or climbing onto something and getting a cell phone, a remote control, or some kind of lotion or baby powder in his room.
He does very well at daycare and apparently eats ALL of his food. At home-not so much. He has started eating turkey lunchmeat-normally he puts meat to his tongue and then pushes it away! He loves cars and trucks and planes and anything that makes a loud noise. He also loves his sissy and hugs her and gives her kisses!!!

Well of course Trace has learned a Christmas song. Of course it would have "ho" in it but that's okay. I think he learned it because his Mimi bought him this microphone that makes your voice sound like an elf. It has this song on it and of course he is sticking the thing and making me sing the songs...after he puts his mouth and slobber all over it! hahaha!

I am super late cause this baby is almost 11 months on October 11. This was taken on September 11. Yeah, I don't have time to breathe!!!! Much less post pictures.

Evie now has 4 teeth, number 5 coming in. She has been teething all month. Waking up at weird hours. (Mommy doesn't like that!! :)

She can say bye bye and wave bye bye. She can say dada and mama.

She is showing her "diva" personality more and more. She does not want to be alone in a room. She does not like her car seat. She does not always want to take a nap. But, she is sooo loving. She loves to giver you "open mouth" kisses and pats me on the shoulder when I am rocking her to sleep!

She does love to eat: pancakes, chicken sticks, peas, greenbeans, butterbeans, cornbread, mums, cheerios, basically anything I give her.

And she is drinking her bottle all by herself! :) Makes life easier. Now if I could just get her to change her own diapers??!!

Today my little stinker is 21 months. My 21 month post will be later...

right now I have a 21 month and a 10 month...so technically I could say that they are 11 months apart.

I wish I had money for every time someone says...how far apart are they? And then their mouth drops open!

Recently, Trace says something that sounds like "wah dah" and points. So we think maybe he is saying, "What's That?" So we tell him what something is (anything from the stove to Daddy's hat to fan to lights)...well tonight he did the SWEETEST thing. We were looking at his little baptism photo book that someone gave him and I put all the pictures from that day in it. He was looking at pictures of himself, hubby, and me. We got to the page with my dad on it. He pointed at it and said, "wah dah" and I said that is Granddaddy. He waves at him and says, "hi"!!! He was being such a little pill earlier and well, then he is such the sweetest thing ever!!! :)

You did the same thing when we went to Hilton Head. What's up with that? What are you going to do when I go back to work? Let's hope you don't do that at MDO in the fall. I don't want to get that phone call that you won't settle down! :)

Happy 18 Months Trace! You are officially a year and a half!

Wow! Times goes fast. Trace turned 18 months on June 23 -as well as the one year anniversary of my dad's death :( Above are some pictures of Trace in a camo onesie. I figured it being appropriate since my dad was the biggest hunter ever. He loved it and would hunt most things!

Trace-not sure how much you weigh, we will see at your appointment but last time you only weighed 23 lbs...let's hope more cause your sissy is catching up to you. (And mommy forgot to make your appointment so it's not til July 19th!!)

You are the sweetest and darnest thing. You love to take pillows and blankets and lay on them like you are going night night. You love to pull the blankets out of the bin in your room and do that. You love to give kisses and come hug us in the lap, on the leg, wherever.
You only really say yum yum, bye bye, hi, out (you think that is the dog's name!). You are talking your weird language and we are not sure what you are saying! :) You are repeating things and they sound like a weird alien language.
You love yogurt covered raisins (the newest addition) and grapes. However, this morning you threw ALL of your grapes on the floor. Over and over you get in trouble for that and you still do it! What am I going to do with you?
People think you are a girl all the time cause your hair is getting long in the back with curls! Someone said soccer hair...yep, you got the soccer hair!
You are into everything. Your latest is feeding your sister things she doesn't need (just this morning...LINT, as well as food you DON'T want!) and trying to open drawers and find the remote, cell phone, etc. Just last week you have decided you want to put your foot on the kitchen table!
Last night you were standing on my stomach and once you got balanced you were raising your hands above your head as if you were saying, "Look mom no hands!"
You are obsessed with lights and fans. If they are NOT on, you point until we turn them on! And your sound machine. Everything has to been on in your room...your two fans and the sound machine. It makes me laugh.

7 months-June 10th

Guess who was 7 months June 10? Yep, Evie Rose. Whewww....time goes fast.

First of all it wasn't too great of a day. You had a 102 fever and were shaking and breathing funny (so I thought) and threw up...so I rushed you to the doctor. At the doctor's office your temp was 103.4! :( They ruled out many things cause the only symptom was a fever. Then they took blood. One vein popped so they had to do the other vein. YOU DID NOT LIKE IT ONE BIT. You screamed bloody murder the whole time. By the time I put you in your car seat, you were out. As of today, you are still having a fever but not as high. No idea why?!! They said viral but you have had a low grade temp for more than 10 days.

On a brighter note, these are some things you are doing:

screeching-I think big brother T taught you this.
loving some teething biscuits
sitting up
doing "splits" and getting stuck
doing gymnastics in your crib and so your paci goes across the room
loving T's toys...especially his driving wheel that plays music
loving Mickey Mouse Clubhouse (cause of your bro)
scooting all over the place
you were taking swim lessons but not sure we are going to finish those
getting a little "rooster" on the top of your head

Highlands Photo Shoot

Memorial Day weekend we went to Highlands, NC. Can I just tell you how good it feels up there compared to this heat here? Anyway, we went for my cousin Heather's engagement "Summer Country Picnic". The food was sooo good (cooked by my great Aunt). I especially like the carrot cake bars. Deliciousness. And I forgot to take pictures DURING the party-um, taking care of two babies....but did have a little photo shoot with the T-man while everyone was setting up for the party.

5ish: Evie bottle

8:30sih: BOTH eat their breakfast T-pancakes, oatmeal, or cream of wheat and fruit. Evie-oatmeal and baby food fruit

11:00 Snack for T if he is still up. Sometimes Evie wants bottle

12:30ish Lunch for BOTH again. T-still baby food jar #3, yogurt, crackers,shredded cheese. He is the pickiest eater!

E-the fruit rice cereal and a yogurt.

4ish-snacks for all! Goldfish(not cheese one..T only likes the "sweet" kind). Or yogurt, yogurt covered raisins, ritz crackers, etc. I have been giving E puffs. She is not so sure about them!

5-Evie bottle

6:30ish-Dinner for all.....T-baby food jar #3, yogurt, cheese, milk, crackers, a fruit cup of somekind. E-Regular rice cereal and a baby food #1 veggie.

17 months

Guess who was 17 months yesterday (May 23, 2011)? Yep, Little Man. I can't believe his is getting so big...he is so tall and yet only weighs 23 lbs (for like the past 3 months). He wears size 18-24 month tops, size 9-12 months shorts, and size 18 month shortalls. Yep, 9 month shorts. He doesn't get skinny from momma!

He says: dada, mama (a picture...of anything is mama, a mountain, me, or any person), he can say bye bye clearly. He can make a monkey noise and a lion noise. He calls our dog Harley "out". Since hubby tells the dog that all the time, I guess he think his name is Out! :)

He can sign more, milk, and please. He LOVES Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. He is a very picky eater. Just this week he started eating cheese and loves Apple Jacks. Anything sweet but no meat! He gives kisses to everyone even Evie. But sometimes we just get the "cheek"!

He is a wild man. Not so good at the word no. If he has something of yours don't tell him no, he'll usually throw it down! :(

And just this morning...guess who was bare bottom sitting in their crib. We have our hands full!

Evie Rose made her "debut" on November 10th. We are so excited she is finally here (it has taken me a while to post...so now she is officially a month old!). Labor was easy, recovery not so much...but she is so worth it. She is NOT like her brother. He just whined when he was hungry...she SCREAMS!! What a diva already! :) She just wants to be held a lot and well she gets what she wants. Below are the hospital pics. What great hospital pictures!

So last week we had my final sonogram. Baby girl weighs 5 lbs and 5 ounces. WHOA!! So around 8 1/2 lbs if she comes on her due date! :) Maybe she will come a wee bit early. Everyone is saying she looks like my side of the family. Let's hope one kinda looks like me!

She had her hand up by her face and her legs were crossed. What a cutie!

33 1/2 weeks

So I am 33 1/2 weeks. I was 33 weeks on Wednesday but I don't have time to post these days. Look how big I am! Go ahead....say it. You won't believe all the comments I have gotten lately. I mean I might think some not so nice things in my head about pregnant ladies...but all the people that say things? Really? How do you think it makes me feel? Here are just a few:

*WOW! You are huge!

*You don't look so big today...

*You've gotten big overnight!

*Do you think you are having twins?

*Are you sure you aren't having twins?

*Everytime I see you, you get bigger and bigger.

*You are going to have a really big baby!

But, on a bright note, we are so excited and ready for Evie Rose to be here...I go for a sonogram on Wednesday and hope to see her little face. And I am sooooo miserable so I am really counting down the days. I am so swollen and hurt all over. Working+pregnant+9 month old already is NOT a good combination!

20 weeks

For any one out there that doesn't know the exciting news, we are having a baby girl!

We found out June 16th and I am so excited....ruffles, bows, and PINK! Although I would have been excited to have another boy, this just gives me an excuse to shop!

As of yesterday, I am officially halfway there! She is due November 17th. And if you are wondering, yes, the babies will be very close in age...if she comes

on her due date...10 months and 3 weeks apart!

June 23

For anyone that does not know, June 23rd was a very very sad day but also a special day.

On the morning of June 23rd, we lost my dad to cancer. He had lung cancer and was very successful in his treatments; however, they found brain tumors in April. On Wednesday, June 23rd my dad passed away...he did wait for everyone to come to the house and we were able to be with him during this very sad time. He will be missed more than you know!

June the 23rd was also a special day. It was the day that Trace was officially 6 months old. I am just so glad my dad got to spend time with him. It breaks my heart that he won't see his granddaughter...but I know he will be watching from above.

Trace has such a happy personality. He is always happy unless he is hungry or tired. He is starting to crawl...or scoot...it is pretty funny to watch. He has a bottom tooth coming it and you can actually see a little of it and feel it. He went to the doctor on Monday and he weighs 17 pounds and is 28 1/2 inches long. He is only in the fifty percentile for weight but the 90 percentile for height! He is a growing boy. He is mainly wearing 9 months or 12 months clothes. He sleeps so good too...from about 8:15 at night to about 7. And takes good naps. Yesterday he had a 3 hour nap! WHOO-HOO! He loves to laugh and if you make "pooting" noises on his arm or neck he goes nuts. He loves TV...oh no...but a little Baby Einstein makes it easier to get up and "nap" in the morning when it is my summer vacation!

It is time to baby proof the house because who knows when he will start scooting all over the place! :)

Prayers for My Dad

Anyone who knows me or has read my blog in the last year will know that my dad has been battling lung cancer. In the last couple of months, a lot has happened. For one he had not been getting chemo since August....but he had to start that up again. Then he had some dementia...well he has tumors in his brain caused by the lung cancer. He had 15 treatments of radiation. We found out Tuesday that they are still there. I am a bit confused but apparently the radiation didn't really work; although the doctor says it might take 4 to 6 weeks? Well he still has the dementia and he is really tired and doesn't talk much at all. He has his good days and his bad days (along with the big pregnant whale...ME!). So we need lots of prayers. They doctors says for him to come back in two weeks for a chemo treatment...although for the past month he hasn't had one because his platelets have been low. So right now he is just at home, there are some nurses that come to help out but it makes me sad to go over there. Dad isn't much for talking and we try to make him talk...he might just be sick of us...he usually spends every weekend at his hunting place and well he hasn't been there in a long time! We want him to get better so that he can go back....

So lots of prayers, please! :)

I posted this on my facebook status yesterday! Can you hear me singing it? The kids got out yesterday. WHOOOO-HOOOO! We had a ice cream sundae, dance, games, and face painting party for the wild first graders. Overall MY class was well behaved....but this other class (there is a total of 4) and we rotated through the rooms...face painting was in mine....WERE AWFUL!! Mine were great! :) They know how I want them to behave! ha!

But I did have a good class...but glad it is summer and I can post some pics and things and spend lots of time with my little man! Happy Summer to Everyone. I have to work Monday and Tuesday and that's it! YEAHHHHHHHHHHH!!! Celebration!!!!!

Oh by the way...did everyone know that Trace is going to have a brother or sister? And they think it is a GIRL!!! We find out June 16th!!

Guess who is 4 months old? Yep, my little man! He weighs 15 lbs and 3 oz. And he got shots. He did NOT like that. Screamed...but then was fine and then SCREAMED again when we were leaving. Who knows why?!!

So lately he has learned to grunt and sleeps ONLY on his back and then spits up all over the place. Oh well. And we have to have 2 pajamas each night because he gets them all wet. Guess he is peeing straight up! HA!

Guess who had their first beach trip last weekend? Yep, the little man. But he did not get in the water. It was way tooooo cold. So we just shopped til we dropped (My niece below found her Senior Prom dress) and we ate and ate. Trace and I went with my mother in law, sis in law, and niece. A couple of weeks ago it must have been a cold day in hell...because it snowed here in Georgia!! I rarely snows...usually freezes. This was the weekend before I went back for maternity leave. On Saturday, Trace turned one month!

We love him soooooo much! He went to the doctor on Wednesday and finally has gained some weight so now he weighs 8 lbs 12 oz.

Things that he is doing:

He turned over, yep, turned over 3 times when he was about 3 weeks. Usually is it only when he is on his tummy and is pissed! :) And we when want him to, he won't!

He is a moving fella. He moves all over the place, even his head.

He clinches his fists all the time and has started grabbing my necklace and my hair.

He smiles.

He is mainly fussy when he is hungry and at night for some reason.

He loves his lovey monkey and chews on its face.

He is still so small and wearing newborn clothes.

Trace's first bath was finally after his umbilical cord fell off (he was about 2 1/2 weeks). Well he did pretty good until I took him out. Then he got a little perturbed. And I used this cute towel that says Little Prince! :)

The Stork

Of course, we had a stork in the front yard; however, we didn't take a picture with it until the other day when it was FREEZING...we forgot to take a picture the day we came home.

My sister got the stork from a good friend down the road and set it up the day he was born! Thanks to Aunt Pretty!

Coming Home

Trace got to come home on Christmas Eve! What a wonderful Christmas Eve present. So technically after he was born we were really there only a day or so. If it had not been the holidays, I might have stayed longer considering they wait on you and bring you meds and food! :) Next time, I will stay my 48 hours! ha!

Shower Time Part II

So these are some of the presents that Trace got at his FIRST baby shower!

A big frame to hang in his room and it matches perfectly. His room is painted green and has white and chocolate brown bedding.

This is the cutest turtle. It lights up and puts stars on the ceiling in three different colors.
He got all kinds of books including this little Night Night Pookie book and Curious George book collection and some little doggie books.
He got his first pair of boxers (diaper covers). Aren't they just too cute. His monogram is on them.
Puppy books and little puppy stuffed animals. We are doggie people so we hope the dogs get along with him!
Bath time supplies...
Cute blankets and a miracle, wrap him up blanket!
Some cute clothes and he even got his coming home outfit and a matching blanket.
DIAPERS!!! I am going to need LOTS of those!!!!
A present for mommy...it says: "Mommy's Sippy Cup"!!!!! ha ha ha
He got more presents not pictured including a cute ducky hooded towel, a thing to help him sleep in the crib (you know I like my sleep and I hope he does too), his first silver cup, bibs, more diapers, his first stacking toys, a grocery cart cover, and even his first CD! :) We are so thankful for all of his gifts from this shower. Thanks to Beth and Kelly for an awesome shower!

So my first baby shower was on HALLOWEEN (yes, I was the one dressed up as a pregnant lady! ha!) Thanks to my friends Beth and Kelly for throwing me a brunch on a Saturday morning. I got lots of cute presents from lots of "teacher friends" of mine. Trace is going to be all set.

Here are me and the wonderful hostesses! The food was yummy (and thanks to Kelly's hubby...because I know that he helped out!). I need that cream cheese bacon dip recipe!

Here are me and two of my teacher friends from the FIRST public school I ever taught at. Of course, we are all now at three different schools....And Alissa (left) is next because she is preggars too....and well Susan will be getting married (right) and we can't wait for that!
And we are the College of Charleston ladies. We all went there...and it's funny because I didn't know Beth when we went there. We met after...but of course I knew Molly...but I won't tell you any college stories!

As of Wednesday, I was 32 weeks. Yeah....time is a flying. I had my first shower last weekend. And this baby is going to have so many clothes for the next 6-9 months..but then what?!! ha! :)

OLD LADY???

So Am I an OLD LADY now?

This morning I had to be at school EARLY...for a parent conference...well didn't make it. I fell in the shower and so went to the hospital and was monitored to make sure the baby was okay. They told me I probably pulled a muscle because it was hurting on my left below my belly. Well at first the baby wasn't moving...so they gave me lots of liquids and he starting moving around. So I was there about 2 hours and everything was okay. They told me I am already getting ready for the baby...something about irritable uterus...but that's normal. I looked that up...still don't quite understand that?! Oh well. So now I am sore...still in the same spot, my butt, my leg, my back, and the back of my arm. I never said my first name was GRACE...I am just glad the baby is fine.

And then my mom went and bought me a bath mat. I have never had one of those things in my shower. My grandmother had one and my great-grandparents...but I thought that was something old people have?!!!! So guess I am an old lady now!!

Third Trimester

I am officially in my third trimester! :)

12 more weeks to go....but I am hoping 10/11 more weeks to go!

And to top that off, this morning my shoes wouldn't feet on my feet, well my boots! I was so sad...and SWOLLEN!!! So I wore flip flops...what else am I going to wear when it gets cold? :(

Today I am officially 27 weeks! Wowser. I feel like I have blown up in the last couple of weeks! :) My due date is December 30th. I am thinking more like December 21st would be nice...BEFORE Christmas!! I will start to hint to the doctor about that...

Wonderful News!

I can't believe I forgot to post this...although we have a "care page" set up for my dad...but as of two weeks ago, he has NO ACTIVE CANCER in his body. Unbelievable. Everybody has been praying for my dad and for him to be healed.

It is amazing because last February we thought he only had a couple of days to live (according to one doctor). So actually his "cancer" doctor told him to send the "doom and gloom" doctor a postcard. I thought that was kind of funny.

Anyway, he has to go back monthly for xrays of his chest to make sure there is no cancer. The doctor says he never wants the cancer to get as bad as it did. There is some scar tissue possibly in his lungs and we just hope and pray that the cancer doesn't sprout! He is still going to feel kind of crummy because the cancer he had was so strong, but the doctor told him to go live his live and let him (the doctor) worry about the cancer!

Hallelujah!!!!!!

Saturday Tidbits

Tidbits....

*I have NOT cooked since school started. Good thing it is just me and hubby and so when it is "my turn" (because thanks to him for cooking when it is "his turn") we can just go out to eat.

*I get swollen calves everyday. Went to the doctor on Wednesday. Just a pregnancy thing. No high blood pressure, everything is normal! Oh well guess I need to just deal!

*Went to the Darius Rucker concert on Thursday night. It rocked. I wore my cowboy boots and my legs didn't swell! Maybe I need to wear those boots to school everyday! :) Also baby was just a moving...guess he liked it and was dancing!!!

*There is this newspaper thing I think it is called "Jail Times" that you can buy for $1 at convenience stores. It shows all the recent mug shots!!! We were reading it this morning at the Waffle House. There is a parent of a child that I taught last year in there. Hi-lar-i-ous!!!!!

*A little girl in my room told me she could see my baby's fingers sticking out of my belly yesterday! HAHAHA. It was my jeans where they fasten together and I had on kind of a tight shirt. I was like no honey that is just my jeans.

*Another child asked me if I was going to take my baby to the zoo? Where did that come from!??

*And another child everyday asks if the baby is still in my tummy!

*I have a beach weekend plan with one of my bestest friends from college. Can't wait until October!

Show Us Your Life...Wedding Party/Flowers/Ceremony

Our Wedding Day Memories!

Recently, I have been checking out some new blogs. One of them is Kelly from Kelly's Korner and she and her little girl are super cute!

She has been doing this Show Us Your House...well rooms of the house each week. My house is too messy for that! :) Now she is doing a "segment" every Friday called Show Us Your Life. This week and last were wedding stuff. So then you can get a glimpse of how people celebrated their special day!

So here is a few pictures from my wedding. My husband and I just celebrated our one year anniversary back in February...now working on a year and a half! His best man was my cousin (they are best friends) and my sister was my maid of honor. We had a small ceremony in my church's chapel and only invited very close friends and family. About 50ish people. Then EVERYONE was invited to our celebration....a "fancy" fish fry! :)

Below is a picture of my bouquet and then a picture of me throwing my bouquet (there was a bit of a fight.....women wanting the bouquet to be the next bride! hahaha):

This is not a bouquet....but a little koozie and fry centerpiece (just kidding...my sister's old boss came and took pictures...he takes great pictures by the way, and gave me a cd of them. He "arranged" this little photo session!)

Below is a picture of my flowers at the reception. I wanted basic...so pink tulips. My colors were pink and brown!

Above was my "wedding party"...well my sister wore brown...and my nieces (3 of them) wore pink. They helped pass out the programs! And sweet Logan is helping Amanda look "tan" with some bronzer. Overall, it was a stress free wonderful day...except right before the ceremony I got so nervous and told my Dad I thought I might throw up...I didn't, thank goodness! Oh and during the ceremony, I messed up...I said for richer or richer....and the preacher looked and me and said for richer or poorer! HA! Too bad that "mess up" vow didn't help me...we are still poor! :)

And Happy Anniversary to my parents today. It is their 35th Wedding Anniversary...and they aren't really celebrating tonight. My dad had his last chemo treatment on Wednesday and he is feeling icky! Poor Daddy!

Okay...so I am going to try to start my new "Saturday Sillies" where I post something funny. This summer when my hubby and I went to Hilton Head with his family we ate at this really good restaurant in a shopping center...it was like New Orleans type food. I had the best shrimp po boy. BUT it was next to the Publix or Bi-Lo, cant remember. And their shopping carts "LOCK" when you go outside a certain point. There are signs everywhere. Well we watched this older woman....try and try and try and try to get the cart to her car. She had to take the groceries and put in her car. Then tried to "push" the cart to where the pine straw was (not in a loading area). It was the funniest thing!! So of course Hubby and my nieces tried to see how the cart locks and how to unlock. Of course he was unsuccessful and it was liking pushing dead weight across the lot. hahahahaha I wonder how they "unlock" the carts?!!!

Here is my question. When did you start showing that you were pregnant? Currently, I am fifteen weeks and you can certainly tell I am pregnant. And why do people say...maybe you have twins...um NO! And a certain someone I know is 6 months pregnant and she reads my blog sometimes (and btw she is superfit and is the cutest thing ever) BUT I think I am bigger than her...although I have not seen you in person! :) But from the pics I look bigger. YIKES. I am going to look HUGE by 9 months.

Also what about the boobies? Yes, the boobies. I will admit. I was a D before I started this..and now I am a DD and this bra is starting NOT to fit...I mean by the time I am 9 months pregnant...am I going to be like a G or a H??????!!! I mean what comes after DD???!!!

June Weddings

Since it is the season for weddings, I thought I would post a gift from my mom for our anniversary (which was February). She had a local artist sketch this from a photo. I hung it up in our bedroom and love it!

Speaking of weddings, we went to one last night and it was a garden reception. We had so much fun and it was so pretty; however, it was hotter than a whore on dollar night!! And that is pretty darn hot. This pregnant lady drank water after water after water and only peed once. That was a miracle!

Who out there watched the season finale of NJ Housewives? Of course I did because I watch all trash on tv and love all the housewives shows. What did everyone think? I really just have a hard time feeling sorry for Danielle. Its like she has some motive I just don't know what it is.

And to note Teresa's new assets: Maybe it is a southern thing....but down here we call them Boobies...and they kept calling them Bubbies and even had them spelled out like that at the end of the show when they gave an "update" on each housewife. Is "Boobies" a southern thing? I have never heard them called "Bubbies" until this show!!

*I am so excited...no more school until August 3rd. Except August 3rd?? That is way too soon and way to early to go back. Oh well. The kids did get out May 22nd.

*I leave in the morning...BEACHbound! With a bunch of girls. Yeah, girls trip. However, no drinkies for me. No beer, no margaritas, no fruity drinks. OH well...guess I can be the DD, huh?!

*I shopped at every darn store in town for a bathing suit. I am starting to show??!! Is this too soon? My fat is officially turned hard underneath my belly button.

I finally found a tankini and it isn't great, but it will do. I either looked like a stripper (boobs tooooo big and coming out) or a fatty boom-a-latty!

*I am actually more pregnant that it says. I will be 10 weeks tomorrow but whatever, it's cute!

*I took pictures Memorial Day at the lake weekend but we were stuck inside and it was raining so I won't bore you.

*My mom gave me this really cool drawing of me and my hubby at our wedding for my anniversary gift (in February...but the artist just finished it). I will have to take a picture and post, it is neat. I hung it today in the bedroom.

Talladega Baby!!!

Last weekend hubby took me to my first Nascar Experience. I have never been to a race and have always wanted to go...just to see. He is a big fan and when he was little he and his dad would watch the races. Apparently, they had to race home from church on Sundays!

Well my first race was Talladega in Alabama. Not sure if it is really like the movie...although some drunk from Texas kept calling my hubby Ricky Bobby? Have yall seen that movie..if not it is HILARIOUS! Rent it!

I took lots of pictures so beware...I am including them below! I did have a great time although at one point I got a little too hot (it started at 1:30 and we were the closest to the sun...we had seats on the very top row of the stand...near turn 2, if that means anything to you race fans!)

Okay...this is the typical REDNECK woman at Nascar...overweight woman (well not all of them) with tight jeans or jean shorts and a bikini top?!!! Gives a whole new meaning to "muffin top". I did get sunburned but not because I was wearing a bikini top!

First Graders

I want to say that I have not been very good about posting funny stories about my kiddos. So for this Terrific Thursday I will list a few.

-I was giving a students a little test (had to read a story and see how many words per minute and then had to answer 5 comprehension questions). This particular student is a very smart girl but her English is not the greatest. I don't believe that she was born in this country. Like for instance she will write a sentence and say "I see dog". Leaves out the articles. Well the story she read was about a teacher who has a big box and pulls out a toy animal, an animal who is gray and swims to the top to get air and the students guess that it is a dolphin...same scenerio and it is a penguin...well the question is..."What else do you think the teacher had in the box?" (The suggested answer says any other ocean animals....know what the child says? BUTTER. I said what? She says Butter? I said I can't really understand can you spell that for me. She says B. U. T. T. E. R. I said butter? And she nods her head. WHAAATTTT? Maybe the whole language thing is messing her up...but butter? Because butter comes in a box? If anyone understands this story, PLEASSSSEEEEEE let me know!!

-Also my students have decided their new thing is to rub my shoulders. They want to "beat on my shoulders, or do the chainsaw, or massage my shoulders." I mean okay if you really want to....and then a little boy I think on Tuesday says..."Can I rub your feet?" Can I get this little boy to come home with me and teach my hubby a thing or two?

-Then a little girl in my room told me that her mom went out on Saturday night with her friends and on Sunday she did not feel good at all and had diarrhea. I was thinking a little too much drinkies...probably so! I am sure her mom would DIE if she knew her little one was telling me this!

So who watches American Idol? I haven't watched it in weeks...however, tonight for like 15 minutes I did. And what is up with Adam and his Born to Be Wild!!!? Blehhhhhhh. I told my husbby that Adam is heinous and reminds me of someone on the Rocky Horror Picture Show. And after the song, do you know what Simon says...says he liked the singing but it reminded him of the Rocky Horror Picture Show. If you don't believe me, ask my hubby! I just don't get his weirdness. Am I wrong?? Is anyone a fan?

Sunday Sidenotes

1-Just letting everyone know that Spring Break is going to be awesome. I get to sleep late everyday! But I do have to go to the female doctor tomorrow afternoon. Pray for good news (maybe that can be a later post, won't get specific right now).

2-I plan on doing some spring cleaning too. I am going to de-clutter this house. And take the junk to the Goodwill. I hate to clean more than anything else so this is definitely going to be a task. What do they say if you haven't worn it in a year, throw it away? I don't even know where to begin...

3-I saw a HOTPINK car today at the gas station. HOT PINK. It had big tires and some fancy rims. And a guy was driving it. Too bad my sister was driving too fast past by and I couldn't take a picture of it.

4-I can't stand Hannah Montana because all of my kids at school wear those tacky t-shirts and I don't think she is a good role model and when they ask if that is her hair I tell 'em it is a blonde wig...however, that new slow song I can hear in the background on the ACM Awards (officially Miley, not Hannah) and I am kind of impressed. Speaking of country music, I get to go to a concert here in town on Tuesday nigh called Rock Fore Dough (it is Masters Week here in the A.U.G) and see Darius Rucker and the Zach Brown Band! WHOOO! I got my ticket tonight.

5-I have an old cedar chest that was my great grandmothers and we couldn't get it open. Even had a locksmith try to get it open (two places at that). Well this Friday I had to get some things from my grandmothers apartment (she passed away a few weeks ago) and I found a box of old keys and I took them. Guess what????? One of them opened my chest. I was sooooooo excited!!!!! And these grandmothers weren't related so there is no way it was the key that actually opened it. But I thought "hey, old key who knows!"

So today was a wild day at school. I had like 6 kids get in trouble at lunch. I had a child trip me in my classroom. The child also tripped another student and the veins in her neck looked like they were about to pop out she was SOOOO mad at me I guess. (I guess I am a bit strict on the rules, at times, but crazy outbursts deserve consequences.) Apparently she was yelling in the lunchroom and was out of control....ready for Spring Break! I know I am ready for Friday at 3:30!

Then a child said "Mrs. Neal has black and white hair!" He said "isn't that right?" I was like what do you mean? And he says "you have black hair at the top and white hair at the bottom". So I stressed that I have brown hair at the top and blonde hair at the bottom. Guess that means it is a good thing I have an appointment on Saturday to get my "hair did!"

Yesterday morning I had to go to some boring training. And it started at 8:30. Not only was it boring, but it was freezing in this room, and when I left I had to pay for parking. WHAT??? Yeah out of my own money.

Well I had some cereal for breakfast before I left.

A woman sitting a few seats down, a rather large lady at that...(I have no room to talk...I would probably be considered "obese" according to the doctor charts)....

Proceeds to put a napkin out on the table, then dumps out two bags of Cheetos on to the napkin and a box of Milk Duds. WHAT?? She would have been better off eating doughnuts probably. Just the combination at 8:30 in the morning made me a bit nauseous. Am I the only one that finds this disgusting?

Who knew that Michaels (the craft store) had cute vinyl lettering to hang on the walls and I didn't have to order it off the internet. They have some cute sayings for the kitchen, home, bathroom, and girls/boys rooms. I bought one today for the bathroom (trying to decorate this still somewhat bachelor pad). And even this week I got an email inviting me to a party where people are selling these things. Well Michaels has them and I only paid $14.99. Whatcha think?

So only from the mouth of a first grader. Yep, a first grader. You aren't not going to believe this.

At the end of the day on Monday, one of my boys told another boy to.......are you ready????....."To smell my balls!" With a hand motion that really needs to be seen but he was basically pretending that he is holding them in his hands! Yep....when I took him outside the room to talk to him about this do you know what he said? He meant to say "smell my bouncy balls" because he "has a bouncy ball in his bookbag". Yeah, and to quote my hubby I should have said "I might've been born at night but it wasn't last night"!

Funny story, might be one of those you had to be theres...however, here goes.

Today in the Target/Bed, Bath, and Beyond parking lot...my sister and I are coming out of BB&B and this woman (driving) and her husband are pulling into a handicapped parking space and there are two shopping carts at the end of the parking space. She proceeds to try to push them with her car up over the cement block at the end of the parking space and doesn't seem to have luck. I guess this woman was not concerned about messing up her car and just wanted to get this good space. Mind you there was another space just across the row that was handicapped. So I start laughing and thinking at first...did she see those carts? Does she need to be driving? SO she gives up and just parks. Car sticking out into the middle and 2 carts right in front of her car. My sister points out that she was going very slow so she was probably doing this on purpose. So if you see my 90-something old butt doing this one day, take my permit away!!!!!

Guess who came to my first grade classroom? Yep, a leprechaun while the kids were at recess. And he wrote ha ha ha on the board. And he left green glitter on everyone's desk. And he turned over most of the chairs in the room. And he threw all the bookbags on the floor. And he threw some books on the carpet. And some of the kids "saw" some little footprints on the floor. Mean little leprechaun. But we didn't find any gold!???!!!

It's almost St. Patrick's Day. Make sure you wear green tomorrow. As the teacher, I have my green shirt ready to go...however, I am sure first thing in the a.m. I am going to have to have a "talk" about not pinching people...because believe me, in a first grade classroom, it will happen! And, don't drink too many green beers tomorrow. I might have one or two, after work of course!

National Peanut Month

As an elementary teacher, we did a worksheet on Friday where they colored some peanuts and had to add three numbers together in one of our math stations. However, I can't do any real peanut stuff because I have a child in my room who is allergic to peanuts. Who knows why so many kids these days are allergic to peanuts?!!!???? I don't ever remember growing up with kids in my class who were allergic to peanuts. I would die if I was allergic. I love peanut butter. I like peanut butter cookies, peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, frozen peanut butter pie...ummm.

Is everyone out there still eating peanut butter?? I am still a bit scared to eat the crackers. Don't want to get salmonella!

Happy Anniversary to my hubby!

Monday, February 23rd was our FIRST anniversary.

This was how it went down:

I had to work. UGH! Then I got home. We went to Mexican (our favorite)! Then to a movie. Yep, a movie. We have only been to the movies twice. Once to see Step-Brother and that really doesn't count because I think a certain someone had been drinking quite a few. And another time to see Widespread Panic via satellite, so that really doesn't count.

We saw Gran Tarino (sp?). And you actually like the guy in the end and I even cried.

I gave hubby (paper for one year)...a shadow box with a menu of a restaurant from our honeymoon in Vegas and on the back of the menu was Michael Waltrip's autograph (NASCAR). When we were in Vegas there was a race going on....so of course everyone thought we were there for the race (considering our Southern accents, I guess) and we saw him eating at this restaurant called Olives in Bellagio. So Tipsy Hubby goes over and gets his autograph but calls him Darrell (his brother another racecar driver)...and funny, when Michael signed the menu he wrote underneath it "Darrell's bro"!!! So I made a copy of the menu and put the autograph in this shadow box. So that was kind of thoughtful, don't ya think? Hubby thought so.

As many of you may know, my dad was recently dignosed with lung cancer. It is non squamous small cell adenocarcinoma. (I think that is the official diagnosis...I have tried to read up about it and get rather confused.) He has had his first round of chemo and he has responded well but just a few days ago he starting losing his hair so he got a buzz cut. He had gotten a short cut (well the shortest for him in a long time in my BEFORE picture. We think he likes his hair to show off to his friends that he has (had) hair and they didn't!). But now he has his shortest hairdo since he was in the National Guard. He gets his second round of chemo on Tuesday so we hope and pray it will work even better with his second round. The cancer is all spread out in his lungs and makes his breathing difficult; however, he does not have to be on the oxygen 24/7. Just when he thinks he needs it, when he is sleeping, or exerting a lot of energy. Please pray for my dad! :)

Cancer Sucks!

Just a note to tell everyone to pray for my dad. He suddenly was hospitalized on Wednesday and now we know he has cancer in his lungs. They won't know until Monday or Tuesday where it started. We just know he is on oxygen and had a crazy day. We thought today might be his last day; however, we just don't know. We just hope that he can hold on until we get the lab results and can start some kind of treatment immediately. They won't start any treatment until they know exactly where it is in his body and it takes a couple of days for the tissue to grow or something in the lab. I don't know why!!! I wish they knew NOW!!! Cancer sucks...Yes, it does. Just pray for my daddy. I don't know what I would do without him!

Snow Day...Shmow Day!

Okay...this is a picture out of my back door at school yesterday of it snowing. First of all it was a teacher workday. BLAH! Second, it was snowing and not sticking. Why the heck not? Well if you can see the little teeny tiny dots...that's all we got (I can't even see them, but I promise there were some!). But it did "snow" all day when I was at work. Too bad it didn't stick on the ground. What a total bummer! I want some snow on a SCHOOL DAY!!!!!!!!

Here are a few of my favorite things from this Christmas:

My mom gave me "Onion Goggles" in my stocking. Hubby wearing them is pretty funny!
This is me with the onion goggles and then my "peacock" rainboots from my mom and dad. Love em!
I love getting Christmas cards. Although I was a bit of a slacker this year and also I found some I did not even send out like the day after Christmas. I stink...I know. I need to be more organized!
I love this frame that is monogrammed that my mom gave me. I put a wedding picture in it!
I splurged this year and paid $29.99 for the bow that my HUSBAND wanted on top of the tree.
LOVE LOVE my new ivory coat that hubby gave me. He even picked it out himself. (I told him NOT too!!!! :)
My mother in law gave us this cool island to go in the kitchen. It was made out of an old wine keg.
A Bed, Bath, and Beyond find...I like my little snowman rug!
My sister gave me this vinyl letter to go on my bedroom wall. I love it!
My mother in law gave us these Georgia trays. Apparently your stuff won't slip! We haven't tried them out yet but I am sure we will. GO DAWGS!

A TRIP TO THE VET
Poor Harley...had some flea infestation....and had to get an allergy shot, got a new flea med: Comfortis, and antibiotics. Merry Christmas to him one hundred fifty dollars later. But this is where it gets good. This woman sitting in the waiting area (with a YORKIE) calls possibily a son says I want you to talk to "Roxy" and tell her that it is okay because she is so nervous. Then the woman says "are you talking to her? I am going to put it on speakerphone so she can hear you!" then she puts the phone up to Roxy's ear. I can hear a guy saying something but couldn't make it out the words. Then after the phone call she puts Roxy back in her crate and puts all of these brochures with pictures of dogs on them that she found in the vets office and says "these pictures will make you feel better"!

Another woman and I were making eye contact and I really thought I was going to bust out laughing. Tried to secretly get a picture but just took one of Harley because I got nervous she would see me. Who knows what a wacko like that might do if I took her and her dog's picture!

Time Out

Look who is in time-out!!??. Actually put himself in time out tonight...I made us a new dinner tonight. Pork Chop Hashbrown Casserole. UMMMMMM. And well Freddie got seconds and Harley "snuck" into the den. (He and other doggie Hank must stay in Kitchen while we eat)...well Freddie went to go to the bathroom and his dinner was on his "tray" that we have in the den. Well Harley got himself a piece of porkchop and was eating it on the ottoman. Too bad I caught him. Good thing it was seconds and that I made extra. Or Harley might be "meat" for another dinner if you know what I mean. Well poor Harley put himself in time out. Actually not poor Harley because after being yelled out by both of us...he growled and showed his teeth. Bad, bad doggie! Oh and he is now not allowed in the den tonight, according to Daddy! So I am being punished with the dogs while I try to make treats for my class.
